Guns N’ Roses
Reuniting for the first time since 1993, Axl Rose, Slash and Duff McKagan came back in full force with a surprisingly powerful set that clocked in at almost 3 hours. While Axl Rose’s Chinese Democracy era and this year’s Guns N’ Roses’ Coachella set were said to not be fully convincing, Axl, Slash, Duff and the new guys delivered a flawless, memorable performance in their hometown. Kicking off with the punky “It’s so easy”, they played all their classics – except for “Don’t Cry” – including a few good cuts from Chinese Democracy, a couple covers before closing with “Paradise City” supported by fireworks and flames.
One of my favorite bands, The Cult, opened for Guns N’ Roses at Dodger Stadium with a set focusing on their hard rock repertory.
